Saturday 8th February 11:00 am to 3:00pm
This workshop is targeted at sewers who know their way around their sewing machines and wish to progress to sewing lingerie.
The workshop will start with finding your correct pattern size followed by how to layout the pattern correctly on the fabric and the lace. Different methods of cutting out your fabric will be explored and you will go through the sewing order and the different stitches, techniques and tips that can be used to create your own lingerie.
There will also be a discussion about fabric, lace and elastic including what not to buy. Mercedes will be available throughout the workshop to answer questions and help you get the most out of the workshop. Each individual can work at their own pace so as to ensure an enjoyable experience. This does mean that some may not finish by the end of
the day, but will go home with all the knowledge needed to complete their lacy knickers.
The pattern we will be using is the Businkamania Romantic Bikini which will be provided for each individual in their relevant size (sizes 33” - 47” hip) along with sufficient jersey fabric, lace and elastic to complete one pair. I am providing this as it can be difficult to source everything.
Each student will be given a hard copy of the pattern in their size to be used on the day but if you would like to make other sizes you will need to purchase the pattern from the Businkamania website.
There will be additional kits available to purchase on the day.
